Assoc. Prof. Dr. İpek Abasıkeleş Turgut

İpek Abasıkeleş-Turgut was born in Adana in December 1984. She completed her undergraduate education at Istanbul Technical University (ITU) in the Department of Computer Engineering, graduating with honors in 2007. She earned her Master’s and Ph.D. degrees from Çukurova University in 2009 and 2013, respectively.

Between 2012 and 2014, she served first as a Research Assistant and later as an Assistant Professor at Adana Science and Technology University. In 2014, she was appointed as an Assistant Professor at Mustafa Kemal University. Following the separation of the Faculty of Engineering to establish Iskenderun Technical University in 2015, she has continued her academic career there. She earned the title of Associate Professor in Computer Science on January 19, 2022.

Research Interests:

Routing and security in wireless sensor networks, parallel and distributed computing, simulation and modeling of distributed shared memory multiprocessors.

Married since 2013, she is the mother of one child.
