Course Objective: To explain the structures, technologies, and working principles of the hardware layers of a network in detail, and to ensure students learn and use network technologies.

Course Objective: To provide basic knowledge regarding the fundamental operation of computer architecture, the control structure and operation of the central processing unit, and control types.
Course Content: Register Transfer and Microoperations, Basic Computer Organization and Design, Programming the Basic Computer, Central Processing Unit, Pipeline, Memory Design, and Multiprocessors.

Course Objective: To explain number systems and data representation in computers, describe the architecture, design memory, and explain programming concepts in microprocessors.
Course Content: Binary arithmetic, Central Processing Unit architecture, addressing modes, Assembly language and instructions, subroutine, interrupt, and stack structures.
Wireless Sensor Networks BLM2-4610

Course Objective: To enable students to comprehend the basic hardware and software architectures of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN), their energy-efficiency-oriented protocols, and their integration processes with the IoT (Internet of Things).
Course Content: WSN architecture, sensor node hardware, medium access control (MAC) protocols, data collection and routing algorithms, network topologies, and sensor network security.
Information and Network Security BLM2-4739
Elective ECTS: 5 Assoc. Prof. Dr. İpek Abasıkeleş Turgut
Course Objective: To ensure students learn about current Internet attacks and the precautions to be taken against them, and to understand how security is provided at each layer of TCP/IP.
Course Content: Network attacks, symmetric and asymmetric key cryptography, message integrity, digital signatures, SSL, IPSec, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
