İpek Abasıkeleş-Turgut was born in Adana, in 1985. She has completed her elementary education at Celalettin Seyhan Primary Education School. She went to ÇEAŞ Seyhan Anatolian High School for her high school education and graduated from there with 1st degree in 1999. Then she deserved to educate in Adana Science School. She has completed her university education at the department of Computer Engineering of Istanbul Technical University (ITU) with a degree of magna cum laude in 2007. She has received her MSc in Computer Engineering and her PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Çukurova University in 2009 and 2013, respectively.
She worked as an expert computer engineer at Presidency of Çukurova University from 2007 through 2012 and as a Research Assistant at Adana Science and Technology University from 2012 through 2013. Since 2014, she has been working as an Assist. Professor. Dr. at Mustafa Kemal University (renamed as İskenderun Technical University).
She currently has 4 SCI journal papers, 3 international journal papers, 2 national journal paper, 9 international conference papers, 4 national conference papers, 2 books and 1 book translation.
Her interest areas are wireless sensor networks, parallel processing, simulation and modeling of multiprocessors with distributed shared memory.
She is married with Ahmet Can Turgut since 2013 and has a child called Doruk.
